Blessed Easter

Hello Blog Friends! Can you believe how fast this week has gone by? It feels like it was just the weekend and here we are coming up on a new one!! I have not been feeling too well the past couple of days. I think I have a stomach bug of some sort but today I managed to create another Easter card. I used the Deconstructed Sketch #44 for my card and my card is 5x5.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I used Bazzill cardstock for the base of my card and for my matted layers. The patterned papers are from the Darling Dear Collection from MME.  The butterfly stamp is a dollar stamp I got at Michael's from Studio G. I stamped it onto some MME's patterned paper from the Bella Collection and then added some Golden Diamond UF Glitter by PKGlitz around the edges. My stamped sentiment is another dollar stamp I got at Michael's. I stamped that onto some Bazzill paper in momento tuxedo black ink. I added some baker's twine to my sentiment and I also wrapped it a couple of times across my middle layer and added a cute glizty gold brad. My scalloped edge was created using my Spellbinders edgeabilities and my cuttlebug. I inked all around the edges of my layers using some antique linen distress ink. The sentiment, scalloped edge and twined layer are all popped up using some dimensionals.

For the inside of my card I added some of the Darling Dear patterned paper and cut it into a banner and wrapped that with some of the twine. I stamped a cute Easter stamp from Hampton Arts using my Zig markers. The inside sentiment I created myself with a whimsy alphabet stamp set that I have had for a long time and I apologize but I do not remember what stamp company I got this from.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

For Someone Special

Hello Friends! I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had some beautiful weather here this past weekend, in the high 80's. I must say that I am loving the weather. It is a huge difference from the weather I would be experiencing if I was back home up North. Today I am sharing a card that I made over the weekend for a special friend who will be celebrating her birthday very soon. I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #234 for my card. This week's sketch could be either round or square so I went with the square card and made my card base at 5x5.

For my main focal point, I used the sitting Jane digital stamp by Make It Crafty

and colored her in using copics E000, E00, E02, E27, E29, E33, G12, W5, W7, BG45, BG49 and B000.

I wanted to make her stand out a bit so I used some glossy accents on her bows in her hair, her eyes and on her shoes. I also used some pearls for her bows in her hair and on her shoes. She is popped up on a spellbinders beaded ovals die cut which I used some broken china distress ink to stamp the pretty beaded ovals stamp on the inside of the oval and also used some of the ink to distress the outside of the oval. I layered the sentiment square and popped that up using dimensionals as well. The sentiment is from the Hot off the Press stamp set Birthday Greetings. I used some black and white ribbon that I had in my stash to make the bow and used a Martha Stewart punch for the bottom border. I used Bazzil cardstock for my card base and all the other papers used were from the Journey Collection by Authentique. Well thats it for my card today, thank you for stopping by!!!

Card Recipe:

Pearls Recollections
Ribbon Black & White ribbon in my stash

Believe

Hello Friends! Today I want to share with you a card I created for Easter. I used the Mojo Monday Sketch 233 to build my card. I used the sentiment "Believe" instead of a traditional "Happy Easter" because of the strong belief we had as children and our children have today in the Easter Bunny! I think we all have a little kid left inside of us still and I wanted to bring that out through my card.

I colored in this adorable chick and his Easter eggs with my copic markers: YR68, YR04,R46,G12,G14,B02,B05,Y18 and Y19. I did some hand stitching around the inner panel and created the grass myself using my copics. I stamped the sentiment using momento tuxedo black ink. I used some broken china distress ink around my edges and finished off with some blue sparkly ribbon by Offray and a green/blue ribbon from Ribbon Carousel.

Card recipe:
Stamp- PcCrafter
Sentiment- Justrite Stamps
Papers- Bazzil, Happy Go lucky by My Mind's Eye (Lime twist)
Ribbon- Ribbon Carousel, Offray

I hope you have enjoyed my card today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Sunshine!

Hello friends!
Today I'm sharing a card that brought me back to my childhood. Ya know when you do something or pass by something and it reminds you of a flashback of when you were a child? Creating this card did that for me. I used the Sweet Stop Sketch 150 for my card today.

Recipe:
Papers: Bazzil, Lawn Fawn
Stamps: Hope by Sugar Nelly & sentiment by Papertrey Ink (Handwritten Notes)
Pearls: Recollections
Twine: The Twinery
Ribbon:Ribbon Carousel

I had a lot of fun putting this card together. The ribbon I used was a white lace ribbon from Ribbon Carousel and I used some baker's twine from Twinery. I inked up all my edges using some antique linen distress ink and I used a Martha Stewert punch along the sides of my card and on one of my layers. The sentiment was stamped with momento tuxedo black ink and was framed using spellbinder's fancy tags. The main image is up on dimensionals as is the main layer. I did my coloring with copics E000, E00, YR01, E35, V12, V15 and RV17.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge 150
RCC45 Ribbon Carousel Challenge:Baking with the Twinery

I hope you all enjoyed my card today and thanks for stopping by!

Luck of the Irish Challenge & Deconstructed Sketch #43

Hi blog friends! I've decided to give this whole blog thing another try and I'm starting off with this fun Saint Patty's day card. I'm entering this in two challenges: The luck of the Irish by Just A Scrappin's Blog and Deconstructed sketch #43. I used the deconstructed sketch #43 to build my card.
I used papers from Lawn Fawn's Bright Side and On the Bright side from My Mind's Eye along with some bazzill cardstock. I used this pretty Waltzingmouse digi shamrock stamp and sentiment and cut out using Spellbinders beaded Ovals nestabilities. I used some gorgeous ribbon that I purchased at Ribbon Carousel around the beaded oval frame. I colored the stamp with these copics: G07,G09,G12,YG67, YG95, YG97, B000, BV11, BV13 I finished it off with a few pearls and a cute little bow from that same ribbon that I used on the spellbinder's frame. I used some vintage photo distress ink and added some faux stitching for a more embellished look. Well thats my card for today! Hope you enjoyed it!
